We are stoked to be back in Boston on May 5th to do our first Wet Bandits Presents show at our favorite place ever - The Great Scott.
I used to live round the corner from the Great Scott, spent many years drinking there. Not to mention Our earliest Passion Pit shows and EP release Partys. Love that place.
And we have a stellar line-up.
DOM
Magic Magic
The Royalty
DOM has some amazing music. Too good. Can’t wait to see him live. Watch out.
Magic Magic are Boston veterans, we had the pleasure of playing with the at our House of Blues show. Can’t get enough of their music.
The Royalty have some solid tracks and are another solid representation of good music in Boston.
AND to top off the night, The Wet Bandits will be playing so dance music to everyone wasted on Corona and Tequila.
Its going to be the best.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]Its been a while since we last posted anything. We’ve been super busy with touring, SXSW, drinking, starting record labels etc.
So we are trying to get back into the swing of this. One short good reason to start is that Tegan and Sara put our (Ayad and Ians) remix of their song Alligator on their Alligator LP. It feature 17 versions of the song (!) and as long T & S fans we are proud to be part of it.
I couldn’t find the final edit I did for them, but I thought I would post up the second edit I did, which features a slightly longer bridge with heavy bass break. We also initallity worked on an extended version, great to DJ with, that I will hopefully get to post sometime too.
Hope you enjoy it, and grab their remix LP off iTunes! + more stuff to come soon. Promise.

[Flash 9 is required to listen to audio.]Marina and the Diamonds - I am Not a Robot Flex’d Rework (Passion Pit Remix)
Here is my latest remix to be released unto the interweb. This will also be included in Marina & the Diamonds first US release - a digital EP titled “The American Jewels EP”. Marina will be releasing her full length “The Family Jewels” in America later on this year.
March will also see Marina debut US tour, featuring two NYC shows and a trip to SXSW. The Wet Bandits will also be at SXSW - DJing and eating BBQ.
I wrote most of this remix during our Australian tour as a part of Big Day Out. Best Tour Ever. I also made a shorter, less “club”-like edit. Checking with their label if I can post it up here.
For gear dorks - I used Logic Pro, and most the free synthesezer called the Uno-62 - made by Tal -Audio. No talkboxs/vocoders were used on my-end. Also included in the vocal track - just buried in the mix. Oh yeh, and the synth solos (bringing it back) were done using my new Roland Jupiter 6. Best Synth Ever.
Enjoy

Today the Wet Bandits with Nate, and our great friends in Little Death wandered around Nottingham. We went to a castle and drank a great beer at Englands Oldest Pub which was called “Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem”.
While we were there we met the actual Robin Hood.
Ayad & Jeff

Little Death (KC, Julianna, ROBIN HOOD, Chris, Nathan)

He was a bit drunk, but still handled his sword with great dexterity, as can be shown in this video.
The best part is when he handed us his business card. (Yes - it says “Outlaw of Sherwood Forest”)

Great day in Nottingham.

So a bunch of our good friends from Boston have been involved with a tutoring program called 826 Boston.
“826 Boston is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6-18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
All of our free programs seek to strengthen each student’s power to express ideas effectively, creatively, confidently, and in his or her individual voice.”

Every year they do a sponsored moustache grow, where people donate money to individuals to grow a keep a moustache. Three of us Passion Pit’ers (Ayad, Jeff & Ian) have pledged to grow moustaches. Sadly only Ayad has raised any money (and thats because he sponsored himself).
We are this weeks featured moustache growers, so if you can spare $1 or $100 to help us reach our goals and to help this great educational initiative sustain itself.
Thanks for reading and please re-blog, re-post etc and do whatever the internet can even if you can’t spare a donation.
